Easy Knitting Patterns for the Teacher

Stuffed Apple Pincushion

In all the rush that goes into preparing for another school year, it's easy to forget about the teachers who make that learning environment possible in the first place.  This year, to show a piece of your appreciation, why not treat teachers to a handmade knit gift

This Stuffed Apple Pincushion (shown at left) is my favorite project for teachers.  It's not only a great pattern for using up scrap yarn, but this mini apple looks great displayed on a desk full of ungraded homework.

You will love working up one of these back to school knitting patterns, because they're a great way to capture a moment in time. Where can I find the pattern for the girl's lilac sweater with the big buttons...the one on the top left of the photo?

These are all adorable. Back to school is one of my favorite times of year (now that I'm not in school anymore!), and I'd love to do some of these items for my nieces!
