Oaklet Shawl

By: Megan Goodacre from Tricksy Knitter

This beautiful free shawl knitting pattern is the epitome of spring: brightly colored, lightweight and delicate. Wear your own Oaklet Shawl as either a scarf, a shawl or lightly draped around your shoulders. A simple lacy border makes this shawl a great accessory for summer and spring. Staying warm doesnt mean you cant look fabulous, as this shawl shows. Just throw on this cute shawl whenever youre feeling a bit of a chill.

What a pretty, delicate shawl. I love how it looks like a scarf from the front and a shawl from the back. And it only takes one skein of yarn. These are the types of projects I like to splurge on by using a more expensive yarn like the merino/silk brand called for in the pattern. Great winter project for use in the spring.

Not a fan of the yarn used but with the right colour this would look absolutely stunning.

@Sooz1946: If you click on the link, the pattern should open on a new page. This page includes more photos of the shawl. You can enlarge these photos by simply clicking on them. Hope this helps! -- Editor of AllFreeKnitting

Would like to be able to see more of the scarf to see if I want to make it.

There are lots of pictures on Ravelry.com. Here's the link: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/oaklet-shawl
