Why could you not use circular needles and knit both front and back at the same time? I'm new to knitting and just thought that way you wouldn't have to worry so much.

From what Ive seen on you tube you can make any sweater pattern in the round by adding an extra stitch at the seam.

This is a nice pattern for those easy knitters who need a little extra time to complete Christmas gifts. My only suggestion is to keep count of how many rows you knit in the front of the sweater. Thereby you can keep track of how many rows are knitted for the back. If you don't have a row counter, just make a row mark on a scrap piece of paper.... then draw a line (to form an "X" ) when a completed knit row has ended on the backside. Do the same for the sleeves. Happy Knitting!
