Nice hat! The pattern is fairly versatile and could be used for anyone. I can see it done in gray and white with red for a man, or the purple and pink as she has for a womanl. She says it's sized for adults only, but if you take out one of the pattern parts, the rest fits together just fine so it can be made for smaller heads.
