Cocoon Knit Sweater Pattern

After a while, it can seem like women's sweater patterns all look the same. This is not so with the Cocoon Knit Sweater Pattern. You might have seen cardigans referred to as cocoon sweaters, but this pattern is a pullover; the design of the sweater, while average in length, is extra wide, which creates a warm, cozy, relaxed shape around the arms and a similar drape to cocoon cardigans. This simple sweater knitting pattern can be accomplished even by someone who has never knit a sweater before, and the finished product is just about as "hygge" as you can get.

I am just as baffled as Lisa below! It doesn't seem logical. Please show a photo of this sweater from the front.

Hi, you can go onto internet and Google the word Cocoon sweater knitting or crochet. They have wonderful examples of this sweater or wrap. I have made a few and it is a simple rectangle that you fold basically in half and sewing the edges together. what might be confusing is the armholes get a ribbing. easy peasy

I am not baffled by anything, I understand how the sweater is put together, I've made 4 of them. I was explaining to someone else how it works out. I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from, the patterns states rather clearly that you are knitting a long rectangle and sewing the edges towards the center to make both the sleeves and the body opening.

for those that are confused there is a picture of the front on the yarnspirations website here- https//www.yarnspirations.com/red-heart-the-cozies == t-cocoon-sweater/RHK0129-024081M.html

I have read this pattern over and over. I think that there is instructions missing. Where is the opening for the head/neck? I am totally boggled by the Cocoon Knit Sweater pattern.

The cocoon is being sewed at the edges, which will make the seam sideways on the garment, the big space between the sewn edges will be the opening. On the diagram the solid line in open, so that is where you will put it on the the seams will be on the side of the wrists facing front. I found a better photo example of the cocoon, in another language but for this example the light color in the middle is open here- https//i.pinimg.com/originals/4f/7f/21/4f7f2135862 == 9b00b42d594f2abb173e1.jpg
