By: Erin Kate Archer
Gossamer Infinity Scarf

This angelic lacy scarf pattern is as light as a feather. The Gossamer Infinity Scarf is a beautiful gossamer style neck piece that is sure to add a pretty softness to whatever you're wearing. It's a great finishing touch to any outfit and can be worn year round. Just as the most interesting paintings are those where you can see the brush strokes, the beauty of the Gossamer Infinity Scarf is in the stitch work. The loosely woven pattern is handmade chic, and makes a perfect gift for those who love artisan knitwear.

This pretty scarf will dress up even the plainest Tshirt. Knit with lace weight yarn on big needles, the knitting will go quickly and the finished project will be light as a feather. I think it would be fun to knit this cowl in a pretty self striping yarn and then dress it up a bit more with a well placed brooch.

Just wondering if there is a crochet pattern for this scarf, I don't knit.

How many 100g skeins of yarn should I buy??

It doesn't say anywhere, even in the pattern. That yarn is 600 yards per skein, so I suggest you will only need one, if you use the recommended yarn or calculate accordingly for other lace weight yarns based on yardage.

This looks adorable, however in reading the pattern I realized that the creator has garter stitch and stocking stitch reversed in the instructions, this could be very confusing to new knitters. Garter stitch is knit each row-stocking stitch is knit one row, purl one row-not what is written in the pattern here.

The pattern is correct : knitting in the round means garter stitch is knit one round, purl one round

O.K. knitters, whenever you see "corrections" from Ealizabethane on patterns worked in the round....ignore them. She obviously has no experience working in the round. Knitting every row IS stockinette stitch, and knit a row purl a row is garter stitch.
