There’s no denying that knitting is a big investment in time and energy, so you want to be sure to pick out patterns that will look great on you for years to come.  New England Knits: Timeless Knitwear with a Modern Twist, written by Cecily Glowick MacDonald and Melissa LaBarre, is all about knitting patterns that won’t go out of style.  This fantastic new book is packed full of simple, elegant patterns that look cute and are sure to be a blast to make.

Inspired by the lovely scenery of rural New England, this knitting book is full of classic patterns, perfect for any knitter looking for an easy elegant look.  Not only are the patterns worth raving about, the photography in this book is something special too.  Each pattern is accompanied by multiple photographs, allowing knitters to check out details of the patterns before they cast on.  Personally, I’m a huge fan of the number of cardigans and sweaters featured in the book.  I love working on the big, but hugely practical, projects, and I was pleased with the variety of ideas presented in this book.

Of course, you’ll find more than sweaters in New England Knits.  Hats, scarves, and cowls are all in there too.  I was impressed by the detailed instructions included in each patter; you won’t be getting lost when you cast on one of these projects!
