"i need help with this patrern. abc is not responding to my emails. the left cable starts with row 13. right cable starts with row 1-23. when i reach row 23 for the left cable is where the pattern does not work out correctly. the cables are supposed to mirror each other but they are not. can some one help me out?"

"Picking up so many stitches on such a narrow band is too fussy, so I used a provisional cast on, did not bind off the last row and only picked the 15 stitches at the sides to join in the round to continue the bag from the base. It worked out well, made the bag more uniform for joining in the round and it seems much more stable at the bottom."

"It actually specifies in the pattern that you are only using the 19 stitch repeat from the chart, which has a box around it, so the 133 stitch cast on divides into it 7 times."

"So far, so good. Using leftover yarn from a crop sweater I made this summer for my daughter. I'm thinking this will be Yule gift for my daughter-in-law. I am woefully behind in my gift projects."
