This Sunflower Split Back Tank is a free knitting pattern perfect for the summer months. The bright yellow color and swingy, free-form design make this tank light and comfortable. It's the ideal summer knitting pattern. This knit tank top pattern makes such a fun top that you won't want to put it away. Try this pattern in other summery colors, like aqua or mossy green, and you'll have a whole collection of fun, breezy summer tops. Style this tank with jeans and sandals for a casual look, or pair it over a skirt for a more free-spirited look.

It's worth it for the end result! For me, it helps to have another, faster, project on the go as well, to give me variety.

I really like this pattern but have always been afraid to try a pattern with fine yarn--just because it seems like it would take forever to finish the project. Does anyone have any experience with fine yarn knitting? What's your feeling on time to completion??

I love how simple this is. Definitely adding it to my list to make for summer!
