Stockinette Stitch Tank Top

This loose, breezy Stockinette Stitch Tank Top stands out in a sea of summer knitting patterns. This shirt pattern can be easy to make with nothing but knit and purl stitches--or, for a challenge, you can add a pretty lace ladder design to the back. A single gathered-up side seam adds an air of sophistication to an otherwise simple pattern. Wear this airy knit top over another shirt to dress up an everyday look, and get ready for summer with this easy tank top pattern.

This is an unusual pattern yet the instructions are easy. I can see this in a yarn with a bit of shimmer. The top would look great over a solid color outfit. I love tops with a bit of drape and this one would look great. Also since it is a fairly easy pattern you can knit this watching TV or sitting around with friends talking. Thank you.
