The Petrol Blue Kid's Poncho is the perfect layering piece to add to your little one's wardrobe for slightly chilly days. This free poncho knitting pattern is perfect for beginners. The front and back are knit flat and there's no shaping or decreasing to worry about. The turtleneck collar is picked up and knit on circular needles. If you're looking for a fast knit, the super bulky yarn and large needles make this free knitting pattern a breeze. Your son or daughter will love being able to essentially wear a cozy knit blanket when venturing outside on brisk weather days. I am a beginner knitter. How can I size this for my 7 year old granddaughter? Size 7. mary k

Hi marykinson! This pattern was designed specifically for toddlers, so we recommend contacting the designer, Gina Michele, at her website (which the pattern link will take you to) with any questions you have about resizing the pattern for different age groups. Happy knitting!

Love this Petrol Blue Kid's Poncho. This shade of blue is my favorite among the blues and the design is just perfect for a kid. Will look great on a boy or a girl, it's okay. You can change the color for a little girl if you want.
