The Winter Sea Knit Stocking Hat is the perfect thing to wear during long winter walks on the beach when a breeze blows gently over the water. Its soft, chunky yarn hugs your head, keeping it perfectly toasty warm. This knit hat pattern uses the daisy stitch, which creates a unique design that fans out from many points across the hat. This hat is also a knit pom hat, so a cute pompom graces the top of the hat, making a playful statement. You will want this hat for your next winter excursion!

I really like the crown of this hat and how it spirals with the decreases. It is very cute! AND I love the color. Do you remember what yarn you used and what color it is?

Hi schiebet, the designer indicated the yarn she used for this pattern is Lion Brand Jiffy in Sky. Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

I like the instructions for this hat. It is a lovely pattern and the instructions teach you something new, not just the daisy stitch but how to do a hem. It keeps it from getting boring and the end result is lovely. Definitely on my list. Not only for me but also for the charity group I knit for. Hats are always needed in cold NYC in the winter. Thank you.

It's amazing how many different styles of hat patterns are available. I hadn't seen daisy stitch used before for a hat so I'd be interested to try it out. Although this hat looks lovely in the light blue, I'm sure it would look great in almost any solid color. And the pompom on top adds some fun!
