  • Bernat® Mega Bulky™(10.5 oz/300 g; 64 yds/58 m) Mocha Brown (88029) 1 ball
  • Size U.S. 35 (19 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

Size: One size to fit average woman.
Gauge: 5 sts and 7 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stocking st.
Abbreviations: Beg = Beginning, K = Knit, K2tog = Knit next 2 stitches together, P = Purl, Pat = Pattern, Rem = Remaining, Rep = Repeat, RS = Right side, St(s) = Stitch(es), WS = Wrong side

Cast on 25 sts.
1st row: (RS). *K2. P1. Rep from * to last st. K1.
2nd row: P1. *K2. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows for mistake rib pat until work from beg measures 9½" [24 cm], ending on a WS row.
Shape top: Next row: (RS). *K2tog. P1. Rep from * to last st. K1. 17 sts.
Next row: *P1. K1. Rep from * to last st. P1.
Next row: *K2tog. Rep from * to last st. K1. 9 sts.
Break yarn leaving a long end. Draw end tightly through rem sts. Sew center back seam.

This looks like a cute pattern! With the super bulky/super chunky yarn and the big needles it should work up quickly. I wonder if you could do this in the round to avoid the back seam? The pattern is not complicated so maybe I can just follow the pattern but reverse knit and purl after the first row?
