As the author noted, it is a little difficult to do the K3tog on the decrease row but it helps to give the beanie more shape and fullness at the top. I made this on Saturday with chenille baby-blanket yarn for my 7 month - old grand-daughter and it turned out so cute! It's just a little big even though I adjusted it down the same amount that the pattern had suggest for enlarging for an older child. I may add a little elastic to tighten the brim. I did add a floppy pom-pom instead of the cat ears! ) Thank you for sharing this one! Mommy has requested one for herself, too. So I guess it's a hit!
