Not sure why all free knitting has the needle size listed at 8 mm, it's not even a US 8, it's a 9. I've made several of these and the only complaint I've had from the recipients is that because of the rolled brim and no ribbing, the hat stretches and loses it shape rather quickly when worn. A few of them have been brought back to me and I've had to run yarn through them to tighten them up, so they can be worn again. The ones I made out of cotton just need a spin through the washer and dryer to tighten them up again, so they seem to be standing up much better than the acrylic ones.

I love slouchy hats. I don't like anything to tight on my head and I need it to cover my ears. This is an easy pattern and you can make more than one. It is still cold here in NYC and it is April. Hats are always welcome. Plus it is a good thing to wear on a "bad hair" day or if you just have to run out to the store and don't have time to fix your hair. Thank you for the pattern.

I'm definitely gonna make this for myself. I love slouchy hats, and the basic rolled brim and simple stockinette look so nice on this hat.
