This cozy, rustic knit cardigan pattern is the perfect cold weather knit for autumn and winter. The Log Cabin Cardigan is a wonderfully warm sweater perfect for dreary winter nights on the couch in front of the fire with a good book. It's a chunky, nubby knit with pretty ribbed edging, seven adorable buttons, and beautiful brown yarn with hints of purple and gray. The Log Cabin Cardigan is soon to become your favorite lazy day cardigan, and you'll want to make it for everyone you know.

I really love this pattern my knitting group knits for the shelters and not for profit organizations in our city, just 1 issue-I've read through the instructions 4 times now and for the life of me, I can't figure out what size Jenna is. I realize the creator customized the pattern to the intended recipient but even an approximate size would be helpful. any insight would be welcome.

Hi Ealizabethane 1862886, Thanks for getting in touch! We recommend contacting the designer on her blog, Natural Suburbia. Hopefully this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

can this be knitted on straight needles?

I would say yes as it is not written to join in the round. I think they suggested knitting back and forth on circular needles because of the large number of stitches cast on, and how heavy it must get.

It is knit flat, but would not fit on straight needles, that's why circulars are necessary, they are used to accommodate the large amount of stitches.

Is there a pattern for adult sizes? I would need an XL or 1X. Thanks!
