What is the foil 2 rows and what is the 1 St st row. How many stitches do I pick up for the collar?

The following 2 rows will be specified in the pattern, the first stocking stitch row is done after you have completed the Basketweave pattern 3 times, no where in the pattern are you instructed to pick up stitches for the collar. This is an intermediate pattern, based on the questions you are asking, you may not be ready for an intermediate pattern.

This pattern is really poorly written. I will have to go to a link mentioned in one of the prior links to go to the original pattern. I re-read the pattern a few times because I could not find the explanation for the button holes and when I did - very disappointed. I would not do this sweater in variegated since it does not show the details of the basketweave. Let me go look at the original pattern.

Sadly this pattern leaves a lot to be desired and should be removed from this site. It's poorly written, in fact very poorly written with not just grammar and spelling errrors but it's lacking in explanations. Any designer who omits to tell knitters how many stitches to pick up around the neck doesn't really want anyone to make it or they wouldn't be so lazy. I'm an experienced knitter, the 'designer' is obviously NOT or else she's hoping people fail. Very spare on actual WRITING. Very disappointing that allfreeknitting allowed this to be posted. Where is some censorship and checking to be sure designs are suitable???

Why are all or nearly all your patterns for intermediate?

I really like the neckline with the collar on this pattern. It says to pick up stitches around the neck edge to make the collar and I have always struggled with this concept. How do I determine how often to pick up a stitch? I seem to end up with patches of dense stitches and then sparse patches of stitches.

Hi, I need some help please. Right front, eight lines down the pattern mentions 803 stitches! Is this p3, p30I or what. Struggling at the moment. Thank you.

Hi susan 6689966, the part you are referring to is an error in the pattern. It should say "BO 3" meaning bind off 3. This forms the buttonhole. Actually, there are several typos in this pattern. Apparently it is a paid copyrighted pattern that someone copied and posted here. Original pattern is at http//fiestayarns.com/store/items/view/1938/sandia == jacket/.

Casual Sandia jacket is adorable. I will knit the color wider and add at least two inches to the length. Lastly I intend to make it a size larger for loose fitting.

A nice knitted jacket in beautiful colors that has a formal look, which would be great for both work and for an evening out. I think the basket weave pattern of eight rows would need attention only the first couple of repeats, after which it should be easy to knit!

Start again, Back... second line reads, start with 1"St st row does that mean knit 1"? Next, knit until back measures 14t from beg. I don't know what 14t means. Pattern written in a way I am not famlilar with . Thank you Aussie knitter.

Place Marker at the beg of the next RS row and Dec 1st at the beg of the next 5 (5, 6,7) RS rows; then at the beg of a R5 rows dec 1st every 4 row until12 (14,16,18) sts rem. At the same time once the RF measures 11(12, 13,14t from beg, BO 4 sts at the Beg of the next WS rows- PM in the center of this row; then dec 2 sts at the beg of the foil WS row, next dec 1st at the beg of the next 5 WS rows; then work even until armhole measures 8 (8.9, 9 )" from PM and 12 (14,16,18) sts rem. Place all rem sts on st holder. It says to dec until 12(14, 16, 18) then dec for armhole and still there are 12(14, 16, 18) sts remaining?
