Easy Silk Cardi

By: Chris from Chris Knits in Niagara

This beautiful, ice blue knit cardigan pattern is a year-round essential. The Easy Silk Cardi is thin enough to dash away a summer breeze, yet thick enough to keep you warm throughout the autumn and winter seasons. This simple, three-quarter length sleeved cardigan has a pretty, seed stitch edging and a simple stockinette stitch construction. The Easy Silk Cardi has a casual open front but is polished enough to give you that finished look.

This is a very cute sweater. I am excited that it's an easy pattern. Sweaters are one of my favorite items to wear. Learned to knit so that I could make my own. I am very excited to start on this pattern. I know my daughter and daughter in laws will enjoy wearing this pattern. So I think I now have Christmas of 2017 figured out.

Like the unstructured look of sweater and have saved to my favorites. Per web site the recommended Debbie Bliss yarn has been discontinued, I need to look for a sub in the Alpaca/silk content of this yarn.

The author chose Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk DK to knit this practical sweater yummy The pattern is simple and straight forward and should be simple enough for a new knitter to accomplish. You could add a buttonhole and button to the top of the front band if you wanted to close it.
