The Beginner's Knit Infinity Scarf uses the very simple slip stitch to create a beautiful knit scarf you will want to wear again and again.

Before you begin, you will need a medium weight yarn of your choice and a 9mm knitting needle - cable not required. You begin the cast on with a slip stitch and knit your way through before using slip stitch to sew the ends of the scarf together.

The end result is a knit infinity scarf everyone will love. This is a great pattern for all skill levels and a beautiful scarf perfect for practically every outfit in your wardrobe.

This really does seem like the easiest knit scarf ever! Using a variegated yarn is an easy way to give it some oomph.

This is really is lovely. Just one problem, Lion Brand Scarfie yarn is a #5 bulky, not a #4 worsted weight yarn. However, I did work it out for a worsted weight yarn, I co 18 stitches on an 8mm and it looks relatively the same.

Hello Lisa, we have updated the yarn weight for this pattern. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

This is so lovely. The stitch is simple but beautiful, and the yarn is GORGEOUS. I think I'll have to make an identical one for myself!

The name defines the scarf perfectly. It is great for beginners. I knit scarves for charity and this will be perfect for the beginners that we have volunteering. It should knit up quickly as well. I am sure they will be pleased. Thank you.
