How to Knit the Pique Rib Stitch

Pique Rib Stitch Knitting Tutorial

  1. Cast on a square multiple of 10 stitches.

  2. Row 1: pearl 3, knit 1, pearl 3, knit 3
Repeat that all the way across your row. Turn your work to the wrong side.

  3. Row 2: pearl 3, knit 3, pearl 1, knit 3.
Turn your work back to the right side.

  4. Row 3: Repeat instructions for row 1.
Turn your work back to the right side.

  5. Row 4: Knit all the way across all of your stitches.
    Turn your work.

  6. Repeat the process for those four rows until you have finished your knitting project.

  7. BONUS TIP FROM HEIDI: To work this stitch in the round, work the pearl 3, knit 1, pearl 3, knit 3 three times, and then do one round of pearling for your fourth row, since you are not turning your work.
