"This is the 8th or 9th dead link I've hit this morning trying to look at the patterns from one newsletter, i can only presume that the person putting the newsletter together does not have time to check and verify the links."
"New pattern, first time I've seen a picture of it on this site. Unfortunately, there is a problem with the link, when you click on it you receive an "oops" message, that the pattern is no longer available."
"Not sure why you would leave your comment on an entirely different pattern but anyway, the pattern actually specifies and gives step by step instructions on what the chain 5 is- (Bring st back to left-hand needle. K1) 5 times Chain 5 made. Bring st back to left-hand needle. K4tog. Rep from to last 2 (3-1) st(s). Chain 5. Bring st back to left-hand needle. K3 (4-2) tog. Fasten off."

Kitty Bow Tie
The best part about wedding invitations is that they usually don't explicitly tell you that you can't bring your cat. Surprise your friends on their big day with your adorable kitten dressed to the nines! (If you're worried about losing friends, maybe just dress him up at home.)
Insanely Adorable Kitten Mittens
If regular mitten patterns are just a bit too bland, turn them into cat knitting patterns! It's easy to embroider a sweet little kitty face onto otherwise normal-looking mittens, so you can bring your obsession with your cats out of your house, for once.
Is Fido resting his head on your lap right now, his big, sweet eyes screaming "what about me?" Don't fret, little pooch, we've got a ton of patterns for you, too! Check out How to Knit a Dog Sweater + 10 More Adorable Animal Patterns
Kitty Egg Warmers
If you've never used egg warmers before, you're probaby an average person. Hey, why not start using them? These egg warmers give you an excuse to slap a cute little kitty face on yet another piece of your home decor. Plus, can't you imagine how adorable and fat they would look stuffed with an egg?
When humans chase after stimulants in a harried frenzy, it's generally frowned upon. When cats do it, it's freakin' adorable! Knit up little fluffy a rainbow of these quick and easy catnip bunnies for her birthday or gotcha-day and she'll be entertained (and a little crazy) for hours.
You can make a catnip toy out of just about any amigurumi pattern! Just pick a relatively small one, stuff it with catnip, and go to town. For a bunch of catnip toy ideas, take a look at 16 Amigurumi Knitting Patterns for Beginners
Knitted Cat Face Scrubby
What's that? Your kitchen is desperately lacking in cats? Fear not, fellow crazy cat ladies, we've got you covered. This scrubby will do an equally as amazing job of scrubbing dirt off your dishes as making you smile. Plus, check out that little tongue sticking out of his mouth! Who could resist it?
Quick Kitty Hat
Did your job send you home the last time you arrived at the workplace dressed up as a full-fledged cat? It's a bummer, but being an adult usually means you can't get away with dressing up like an animal. This hat is probably the most socially acceptable way to cat-ify yourself.
Preppy Cat Vest
The last time your cat tried desperately to claw himself out of a sweater, did the thought ever cross your mind that maybe he just didn't like the sleeves? Try this vest next. Surely you'll be able to win his heart with the precious fair isle fish design or the sophisticated cable detailing.
Sweet Kitty Easy Knit Toys
We give our kids tiny dolls that match their hair and eye colors, so there's nothing wrong with gifting your kitty a facsimile of herself. You can even match the fur and eye color! If, somehow, that is crossing the line for you, these also make great stuffed friends for children.
If you're not having a whole lot of luck enticing your kids with cat toys, tell them to knit some toys of their own! There are a bunch of easy patterns out there to get the little ones started with knitting. Check out 15 Beginning Knitting Patterns: Free Knitting Patterns and Tutorials to Teach your Kids to Knit
Lucky Cat Sweater
Legend has it that this cat sweater is incredibly lucky. The minute you put it on your pet, he'll start finding mice everywhere, he'll get wet food every night, and his humans will stop grabbing his paws and snipping down his painstakingly-honed claws. It's not fair to your cat to not knit him this sweater.
Kitty Ear Kid's Hat Pattern
Does your child or grandchild love cats? Even if she doesn't, there's nothing wrong with a healthy dose of projecting your own hobbies and preferences on younger family members. Knit the little one up an adorable cat hat (or three); bonus points if the yarn is the same color as her cat!
Orange Tabby Kitten Mittens
Behold: another pair of kitten mittens! After all, you're going to need a second pair for when the first get dirty. Maybe you're just a rabid tabby fan and have to represent your favorite kind of cat. If you knit up your cat hat in the same orange color, you'll really be stylin'.
If you have your own mitten patterns figured out but, for some reason, your husband and kids refuse to wear cat mittens, fear not. We have a bunch of knitting patterns for mittens for all ages and sensibilities! For a great list, take a look at
Knit Cat Socks
If you truly loved your cat, you would knit her some socks. Wait? What's that? You love your cat more than life itself? You might also want to knit yourself a matching pair, you know, just to show the world how much you love her. If she kicks off her socks in a fit, don't worry. That means she loves you, too.
Candy DIY Catnip Toy
Just because your cat stares at you every time you sneak a piece of chocolate out of the kids' Halloween candy stash doesn't mean you should give him any. Distract him with his very own catnip toy shaped just like a piece of candy! Sure, it doesn't have any tails to entice him, but he'll probably still swat it around a couple of times, anyway, giving you just enough time to grab some more candy.
Cat Ears Headband DIY Pattern
Perhaps the weather is too warm for a hat, or you don't want to mess up your hair too much. You don't have to be left out of the cat knitting fun! Cat headbands are just as easy to make as cat hats, and still give you that purrfectly feline look you're craving. For best results, pair with cat wing eyeliner and long nails.
Fat Knit Cat Toy
Do your cats make you laugh? You can try to make them laugh, too, with a goofy carbon copy of themselves made from yarn! Sure, they'll probably just sniff it a couple of times and walk away, but it will still make a cute decoration in your living room. Knit one to match each of your cats!
If you could make your cats wear any knitted item, what would you make them wear?

What a cute collection of cat related knitting projects. The mitts are adorable. I love the Cat-Tastic hoodie. My cats would never let me put it on them, but it is really cute. My cats love to fling the catnip bunnies through the air. I need to try the Knit your cat a cat pattern. It is a hoot.
