I was curious to see how this blanket was made, and found that you knit the blanket and then the creatures that go on it. Very cute! If you had the time and patience this would make a very special gift for a child's room. It could even be hung on the wall for decor.

This would make a super cute blanket for a baby to lie on or sit on who is just beginning to explore his world. Red Heart has some different textured yarn that might be fun to use for some of the creatures, but I wonder if the creatures would come out in odd sizes? One would have to make sure they were attached very securely.

So just how do we get the pattern???? Clicking the link just takes us to the Coats site, where you have to sign up for an account, which I did even though I don't want one. Having then tried to search their totally useless site I cannot find the pattern. It's very frustrating!

Finally I have found the pattern here - http//www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/WR2051.p == df it only took me two hours to find it!!

Hey there, Dronerg! Thank you for pointing out the broken link. We'll fix that up right away! Next time, please don't worry yourself with finding the link. Just send an email to customer service (the 'contact us' button at the bottom of the page) and we'll do the work for you! Thanks so much, and happy knitting!
