I really like the look of this blanket. I would make it in a solid color though. This way the double yarn overs would really show up. Not a hard blanket to make. You just have to be careful with the yarn over stitch. It will become routine after a bit. Thank you for the free pattern.

This pattern should work up quickly since it uses two strands of bulky/chunky yarn and size 15 needles. The designer was making these blankets for a children's charity so that is the size of it, not a huge blanket. It would make a comfy throw for the living room for curling up on the couch or in an armchair.

I just looked at this pattern and there were no ads on the page. I use and ad blocker so perhaps that is why. This is a nice pattern for an older child or an adult. I would hesitate to use it for a baby since there are some large openings where tiny fingers could get tangled. I think this pattern would make an exception lap blanket for an elderly person, perhaps someone in a care center.
