Vintage Tie Up Knit Headband

It can be hard to find an easy knit headband pattern that also is chic but this project rises to the occasion.

From the Blogger: "This cute, vintage tie-up headband is a great stash buster and is a super cute summer headband! While it's fun for summer, you can easily wear this trendy headband year round. It's made with knit and purl stitches and minimal increasing and decreasing. There are several pictures to show you how to tie it up!"

Would I need to alter this pattern if I am to make this for a child?

Maybe just a little bit, depending on the age of the child, 3-5 year old's head size is typically around 19", so you'll want to shorten it by an inch or so and only go to 9 stitches on the increase instead of 11 for that age group, but if the child is older than that, you're good to go with the pattern just as it is written.

I really love the vintage look of this knit headband. Plus, it's a great way to bust your stash.

I need 18 headbands for a squad of cheerleaders and I think this looks fabulous. It looks quick and is so cute. I can see all of them lined up with that cute little bow on top. I can't wait!
