Kaza Hat

"The Kaza Hat features a waffle stitch pattern; a super easy, 4-row repeat that creates a fun, dimpled texture. If you’re new to knitting and want something that’s more interesting than plain stockinette, but not too difficult to make, this hat is for you. The waffle stitch pattern brings a great look to the classic beanie style, making it a great way to give your wardrobe some knit magic. The color possibilities of yarn also make this a great way to add in some fun to a bland outfit, particularly if you use something bright and vibrant."

could this pattern be knit flat as long as you knit and purl rows in the right order?

It could be, you would need to change the second knit row to purl to get the stocking stitch on straight needles.

I love patterns like this because the hat does not take up a lot of space and it is stretchy. The stitch is not hard to do and once you get the hang of it you will develop a rhythm. A solid color would suit it best. Thank you for the pattern.
