The Evergreen Seed Stitch Beanie is the perfect quick and easy free knitting pattern for cozy winter days snuggled up inside. This quick and enjoyable knit is ideal for all skill levels - beginners included. As long as you can use circular needles, you'll be able to follow this pattern with ease. The knitted beanie is created using seed stitch which creates a pretty, pebbled texture. The designer used bulky weight yarn in order to ensure this knit hat provides extra warmth (without all the bulk) on the coldest of days. Give this pattern a shot today and you'll have a new knit beanie to wear tomorrow!

I cast on to make this, but the super bulky #6 yarn on such small needles was far too tight and almost impossible to work with. It's notated as being a #5 yarn on this website, so I tried it with a #5 yarn and it didn't work out any better.

The seed stitch gives this beanie such a nice texture. The forest green color also provides a subtle pop of color on a dreary day.
