I love the texture of seed stitch and really like it in this hat. It stands out nicely from the rib of the brim. I have just the skein of pink yarn that I've been waiting for the correct pattern. I think this is it!

The use of chunky yarn and larger needles means this should be a quick project, while the seed stitch changes the texture from regular hats. This will be a fun hat to knit and give.

This looks like a really nice pattern to try. With the super bulky/super chunky yarn and little bit larger needles it should work up quickly. The seed stitch gives it some texture compared to simple stockinette stitch and a little more patterning than just garter stitch. Cute with the pompom too!
