With A and smaller needle, cast on 92 sts. Do not join.
Working back and forth across needle in rows and noting first row is WS, work 4 rows garter st (knit every row).
Next row: (WS). (K13. M1) 6 times. K14. 98 sts.
Change to larger needle and proceed in pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). With A, K1. *K3. Pass first of 3 knit sts over 2nd and 3rd sts. Rep from * to last st. K1.

Work 4 rows garter st. Cast off knitwise (WS).
Side edging: With RS facing, A and smaller needle, pick up and knit 104 sts evenly up side edge of Blanket.
Work 4 rows garter st. Cast off knitwise (WS).
Rep across opposite side edge.
