Knitting Needle Size15 or 10 mm

Yarn Weight(6) Super Bulky/Super Chunky (4-11 stitches for 4 inches)

Gauge1 stitches, 2 rows, 3 inches. stockinette stitch

Blanket measures 36” wide x 36” long.

 

Materials: 

  • RED HEART® “Baby Clouds™ (Art. E710 available in solid color 6 oz (170 g), 140 yd (128m) and multi color 4.5 oz (127 g), 105 yd (96 m) skeins)”: 2 skeins 9311 Cloud A, and 3 skeins 9351 Tutti-Frutti Multi B
  • Knitting Needles: 10mm [US 15]
  • Yarn needle

 

GAUGE: 8 stitches = 4”; 12 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

 

Abbreviations:
A, B = color A, B
mm = millimeters

 

With B, cast on 52 stitches. Marking first row as the right side, work in Garter stitch (Knit every row) until 5” from beginning, end by working a wrong side row. Cut B. Join A and work in Stockinette stitch (Knit 1 row, Purl 1 row), beginning with a Knit row, until piece measures 31” from cast-on edge, end by working a Purl row. Cut A. Join and work in Garter stitch for 5”. Bind off.

 

Side Border: With right side facing and B, pick up and Knit 66 stitches evenly spaced along a side edge. Work in Garter stitch for 5”. Bind off. Repeat border on opposite side edge.
