This is a simple garter stitch dishcloth, but it comes out looking really nice from using self-striping or self-patterning cotton yarn. I've made cotton yarn dishcloths both for my kitchen and to give as gifts, and they hold up very well and are thicker than store-bought ones. If you are new to knitting give this pattern a try, you will like it!
