This Garter and Lace Knit Cowl Pattern from Red Heart is a beautiful cowl knitting pattern with an interesting cross garter stitch motif which gives the cowl a lacy appearance. Even though this knit cowl pattern looks complicated, it's actually an easy knitting pattern. You can create this cowl mostly by knitting garter stitch, so it's not too complicated. Style this cowl with jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt for a casual look, or wear it over a sweater for added warmth. You'll love the look of this cowl so much, you'll want to come back to this free knitting pattern again and again.

as I was reading the stitch pattern I got to step 8 "Rounds 10-14 Repeat rounds 3-7." but round 7 is missing. It reads " Rounds 5-6 Repeat founds 3-4. Round 8 Remove beginning of round marker and slip first 4 sts to RH needle. Replace marker and repeat round 1."

I did find all the missing info on the Red Heart website, the yarn is 5 balls of Boutique gleam yarn and round 7 is purl. Hope this helps, happy knitting.

I really do love the look of this cowl, but I do wish they had specified which yarn to use to make it. I shall go to the red heart website and find it.

There is something about the look of this cowl that reaches out to me - when I finish all the saved patterns I shall have a room full of cowls and a closet full of sweaters - might even give some as gifts!

I love how bulky but light this cowl seems. Perfect fall accessory. Can't wait to try it!
