Blue River Ripple Hat

By: Bess Palares from Sockilism

Hold on to your hats, because this pattern is about to get bumpy. The Blue River Ripple Hat is a beautifully textured hat that features a garter and cabled brim with a ridged body. This funky hat is a great way to add dimension to an outfit while keeping your ears warm and your head hugged. The Blue River Ripple Hat is a great project for intermediate knitters who want to keep their hands busy with a multi-stitch design.

I finished this hat today. But not before I discovered an error. 108 does not divide evenly by 10. The first row of decreases reads K8, K2tog. I started with K7, K2tog. And continued on, making adjustments along the way .

I had to click on this pattern to make sure it was a buckle I saw on the hat! Indeed it is! I must say it looks nice though I am sure my daughter would not want that on her hat! But she can always use another hat, and this pattern seems challenging enough to keep me occupied for a couple of hours!

I will definitely be making this one this winter.
