Can you please tell me what 3/4 means? Its in the instructions page 25 for making the back of the vest in the Red Heart Patterns for Baby

I am making the same pattern, I took it to be 3/4 of an inch as that is what the neckband and arm band rib length is and that is what I have used, I am only part way through the back section for the age 12 month pattern and this seems to look ok. Hope this helps.
