When I first received a couple of hanks of Alp Natural yarn by Feza Yarns for review, I was extremely excited to finally get my hands on high quality, novelty yarn. What is novelty yarn, you ask? It’s usually handspun yarn that features unique fiber composition: the wool might be a little thicker in certain areas, there may be a sudden flash of metallic thread in other parts of the skein, two colors might be woven together as one strand, or the yarn could feature unusual materials like silk or ribbon. But no matter what the yarn is composed of, novelty yarns all promise this: you’ll be able to make a beautiful garment that will be different from anything your friends create!

Novelty yarns, like Alp Natural, allow the creative knitter to express him or herself in a way that many store-bought yarns don’t provide outlets for. Because the Alp Natural yarn is composed of 10% linen, 10% silk, 40% cotton and 40% viscose, the end result is bound to spark your imagination and creativity. There are so many gorgeous textures in this yarn, that the possibilities for creation are truly endless. While you’ll probably feel inspired to make up your own luxurious pattern once you see and feel this yarn for yourself, Feza Yarns also offers a few free ones on their Ravelry page.

And just in time for spring and summer, Feza has introduced new bold colors into the Alp Natural line, including pink, yellow, orange, cranberry and purple. Visit to find out where you can purchase some of this gorgeous yarn near you!

Thanks for your review. I really like these yarns too. I am about to start selling some of them in my store ( I know that some people get turned off as soon as you mention 'novelty' because it implies a throw away item, but these yarns are made with high quality materials - cashmere, silk, linen etc and Opulent is one of the softest lace yarns I have come across and Catalina (which is not actually on their site yet but is a dk blend of Merino, Silk, Cashmere and Mohair is really beautiful! Is it ok if I link to your review on my website? Abby x

I'm letting all stores and retailers know that Feza Yarns is now selling there yarns on ebay under world of yarns. Check them out here: == d=p2047675.l2559

This yarn is pretty, but it is hard to use on a loom with all the hand tied knots!!!

Looks OK, but I think I'd prefer the Viva Glitz yarn from Feza Yarns.

Very pretty colors! I love trying out new yarns. I think I'd make a hat or a scarf with this yarn, or maybe both!

This yarn sounds interesting with linen, silk and cotton, added viscose could make it good for sock knitting. Stunning colours of yellow, orange and others make it very desirable. Would love to try it.

Would like to try these in a sweater. The colours look so pretty.

This yarn really sounds interesting. I'd love to try it out with a pattern for a lace shawl.

looks beautiful

I love working with feza yarns. Have made several projects.

I love the cotton option this company offers. The added benefit of a uniqueness to each skein is doubly intriguing. Now I need to find a pattern that will reveal the character of this yarn!

I would like to try out this yarn and pair it with a Fezayarns pattern.

I think this yarn would work great for a lace shawl or other lace items. Lite for summer shawls or scarves and warm for winter wear.

Sounds like a yarn made for me. I'd love to have this yarn!

I would like to have these.
