Snow Day Knit Slippers

By: Gina Michele from Gina Michele
Snow Day Knit Slippers

The perfect easy knitting project, these Snow Day Knit Slippers are great for beginner knitters. This knit slippers pattern comes with helpful photos, and beginner knitters will love that these knit slippers don't require any complicated heel shaping. This is a great quick knitting project when you're stuck at home looking to pass by the time. They're especially good for a long, cold wintry day! When this knitting project is complete, you'll be left with a pair of warm, wooly slippers that are almost too comfy.

These slippers are very easy to make. I agree with the comments below, the super bulky/super chunky yarn is a little too thick to use for slippers and would tend to distort the shape. Using chunky/bulky weight 5 or two strands or worsted weight 4 together would make the slippers a little softer and stretchier.

I've made these twice and they come out huge! The people with bigger feet will get those ones, now I'm making them on a 6mm with chunky instead of super bulky yarn, the super bulky yarn makes them huge and stiff, not very attractive at all.

Thanks for the heads up! I thought they looked kind of clunky and maybe not comfortable, but I'm glad you mentioned the size. I guess I'll have to do some experimenting to make them fit, but the pattern looks like it goes fast so it shouldn't take days to find the right fit.
