Ancient Stitch Mittens
Looking for an easy knit mitten pattern that's a bit more unique than plain old stockinette stitch? The Ancient Stitch Mittens are what you need. The ancient stitch that's used for the top portion of the mitten has a naturally scalloped edge that rounds out without you having to do much. The bottom portion is just a simple stockinette stitch with your thumb slot. All you have to do is seam these two halves together and you have a super cool, yet super warm, pair of merino knit mittens.

I love this beginner mitten pattern. They're chunky and cozy, with a lovely design on the back.
