The Sundae Swirl Knit Hat is a toddler knitting pattern that looks difficult but is actually quite easy. The hat is knit flat and some simple increases and decreases create the unique swirl shape. You can choose to knit the entire hat on straight needles, or you can knit the brim using double pointed or circular as the designer did. The finished design is very stretchy, so this seafoam beauty will fit sizes 1-3 years. The adorable pom pom adds the perfect finishing touch to this fun and functional piece. Knitting for toddlers has never been so fun or rewarding, so grab your needles and cast on.

This is SO cute. I can totally see my little red haired niece wearing this hat and loving it!

I added this to my To Make List at the speed of light. This is the cutest hat pattern!!!

This is such an adorable pattern. It looks easy to follow and I am sure will knit up quickly. I also like the choice of that particular yarn for the pattern. I know one little girl who will love this hat. Also I knit hats for charity and I am sure this will be a big hit. Thank you.

This is a clever and cute design for a children's hat. It kind of looks like cabling but it isn't, just knit and purl stitches that twist when you seam it together. The only drawback for me would be having to pick up all the stitches around the bottom in order to knit the ribbing.
