Country Quilt Afghan
Bold geometric shapes and graphic squares collide with a subtle stitch texture in the Country Quilt Afghan. This rustic, patchwork quilt-inspired knit blanket pattern is an ode to simpler times. Because it is split into several different squares, this is a fantastic knit throw pattern to work on over time and in between projects, though, of course, you can whip them up all at once. Perfect for a any room in the house, this charming blanket would look lovely in a variety of solid-color shades. Try pastels for a sweet nursery addition or bold primary colors for a fun kid's blanket.

I am trying to make this but I see to be having trouble on on Square B when you get to row 2 With A, K6 do I decrease a stitch because I'm joining at the end with MC, the directions don't indicate. Love the pattern and I'm excited about making this

No, you are not decreasing, you are using multiple colours in a row to complete a flat square.

Thank you for this free pattern - it is GORGEOUS! I have never knitted an afghan before, although I have crocheted many, so this is going to be a first for me and I am really looking forward to getting started. I know exactly the right person to make it for so all I now have to do is decide on the colors and I will be all good to go!

I am an experienced knitter, but I can not figure out how to knit the two color blocks in garter stitch. Is this intarsia knitting or fair isle? I have tried so many times and I am about to pull my hair out. I have even searched the internet and can not find the answer. Help Please. Thank you

This is intarsia knitting. If you provided more detail on where you are having difficulty, I'm certain there are many people here who could help.

I have a question. When making square B the directions say "With A, cast on 7 sts. With MC, cast on 7 sts twice. With A, cast on 7sts. 35 sts. There are only 28 sts. What am I missing?
Lisa

you are missing the "twice"-With A cast on 7 sts. With MC cast on 7 stitches-twice, so you cast on another 2 sets of stitches with A and Mc before you cast on the last 7 stitches with A. So, it is 7 stitches done 5 x 7 = 35. 7 A, 7 MC, 7 A, 7 MC. 7 A will give you 35 stitches.
