Materials:
- Patons® Kroy Socks (50 g/1.75 oz; 152 m/166 yds) (55608 Tangerine Jacquard) 1 ball makes 4 ornaments (either style)
- Size 3.25 mm (U.S. 3) knitting needles or size needed to obtain tension
- Stuffing
Gauge: 28 sts and 36 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.
Measurements:
- Icicle: Approx 6 ins [15 cm] long
- Ball: Approx 3½ ins [9 cm] diameter
Abbreviations:
- Inc = Increase(ing)
- k2tog = Knit next 2 stitches together.
- K3(4,n)tog = Knit next 3(4, n)stitches together.
- psso = pass slipped stitch over
- rep = repeat
- ssk = Slip next 2 stitches knitwise one at a time. Pass them back onto left-hand needle, then knit through back loops together.
- st(s) = stitch(es)
- WS = wrong side

FINISHING
Sew center back seam, inserting stuffing as you sew.
Twisted cord: Cut 2 lengths of yarn 14 ins [35.5 cm] long. Taking both strands tog and with someone holding opposite end, twist strands to the right until they begin to curl. Fold strands in half and secure ends. Adjust length of cord and attach to top of ornament.

This is very pretty. I think it would look even prettier done in sparkly yarn. Like a silver or red. I have some very old blown glass ornaments in these exact shapes. They will all go nicely together on the tree. Thank you for posting this great project so I can have them for free.

I see a great stash buster project here! It looks perfect for all those small bits of sock or fine yarn left over from projects. I often start my holiday projects early in the year because I never know what will happen later - life has a way of interfering with my knitting plans lol!
