Pattern - repost Montgomery Fingerless Gloves Pattern Mitts (work two the same) Cast on 28, being careful not to make the stitches tight. (To change the width of the mitts, increase the number of cast on stitches by 2s). Size 7 double pointed Split the stitches evenly over your needles. Join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches. Eyelet Band at cuff (8 rows) Rows 1, 3, , 7 Knit. Row 2, 4, 6, 8 Purl. Row 5 K2tog, yo rep from . Wrist Knit 17 rows. Shaping for thumb (18 rows) Row 1 K1, kfb, knit until 2 sts are left in the row, kfb, k1. (30 sts). Rows 2 and 3 Knit. Repeat Rows 1-3 five more times. You now have 40 sts on your needles. Separate the thumb stitches on the next round - knit the first 6 sts. Then, put these 6 sts AND the last 6 sts of the round onto a scrap piece of yarn. (These 12 sts are for the thumb, which youll knit later). Now knit 7 more rows (on the first of these 7 rows, youll have to rejoin in the round). Eyelet Band at Fingers (5 rows) Row 1 Purl. Row 2 K2tog, yo rep from . Row 3 Purl Row4 Knit Row 5 Purl. Bind off, not too tightly. Thumb (4 rows) Transfer the 12 sts from the scrap yarn to your needles. Join your yarn, leaving a long tail (well use this later). Row 1 Knit. Row 2 Purl. Row 3 K2tog, yo rep from . Row 4 Purl Bind off, not too tightly. To finish Weave in the ends at the cuff, fingers, thumb edge. Youll probably have a gap where the thumb joins the hand. Turn the mitt inside out and use that long tail that you left when you started the thumb the sew up the gap.

is there a corresponding hat pattern for the Montgomery scarf?

Hi vicki 7768649, Unfortunately it doesn't appear that there is a corresponding hat pattern. You can check the designer's blog for more information, however! Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

Copy and paste that URL. It's download button is hidden on their page but I downloaded it.

I've made two of those scarves for others.

Here is the pattern, hope this copy paste thing works. Mitts (work two the same) Cast on 28, being careful not to make the stitches tight. I too, was not able to get the pattern. Very frustrating!

I, too, cannot find a way to even get to the pattern let alone print it for free. Very difficult to navigate the site. Love the way they look and want to make them for my oldest. Looks like so far that's impossible!!!!

I found the site, and the link to the pattern. I do not see, on your site or theirs, a download link. I did the "add to cart" thing, which I guess puts it in a file for you on their site, but it did not appear to work. this is frustrating! it's a lovely pattern, if only I could get to it. Also, when going back to a saved pattern on your site, it would be much better if the actual directions were there, not just a link to another site that may or may not still be in use. thank you!

This sends you to a pay for site. Can't find the pattern for these wristwarmers.

it's under their "free patterns", but that is as far as I could get. I didn't get the actual directions either.

I can't wait to try these! So beautiful!

oh my... tis is the most beautiful pattern Ive ever seen and it's so simple! I love this! :)

@ mkuntz 9594453, We suggest you contact the pattern designer directly for the scarf pattern. The designer is specified in the byline Otherwise, feel free to take a look at all of our free scarf patterns on AllFreeKnitting: http://www.allfreeknitting.com/Around-the-Neck --Editors of AllFreeKnitting

I love this fingerless mitt pattern, but would also like to have the pattern for the scarf shown in the picture. Can you tell me how I can get it? Thanks!

@Taffy65, To view the full pattern, please scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a link to "download free pattern." Click here and the pattern should begin to download. I hope this helps! --Editor of AllFreeKnitting

The link to the pattern for the Montgomery Fingerless Gloves is still getting me nowhere. I cannot get the complete pattern. Help! I really want this one!

The site may have been experiencing a temporary issue but the link is now working correctly. Thanks, Editor

To the lady with the question about the circular needles. Go to YouTube and watch videos there about circular knitting. You don't have to use two different sets. I use the magic loop method. Easy once you figure it out. I have smaller sets, but haven't tried that for gloves yet. I just learned the magic loop and I have been knitting for 40 years!

To access the pattern you need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page -- under the ads on the page there is a link to "download free pattern" -- I clicked it and got the pattern. I think I will try this today! Have a great day!

Can someone please tell me how to get this fingerless pattern and scarf? I clicked on the above link which took me to Tricksy Knitter but it doesnt give the details of the patterns. It just describes the tools needed...Thank you so much.

In the directions it says it can be knit with two circular needles. I have two 16" (assume this is the shortest circular needle) circular needles and cannot figure out how to use them to knit in the round. I don't like using double point needles. Looking forward to some advice.
