This attractive, easy to knit shrug would make a perfect gift for everyone that is female on your gift list. I intend to make several for myself in various colors and yarns.

Darling shrug is so easy, anyone can knit this in four to five hours. Be daring use different types of yarn for varied looks.

This is a super simple pattern knit entirely in stockinette with ribbing at the beginning and end. Its basically a large square that is easily adaptable to different sizes simply by changing the number of cast on stitches. The wool blend yarn suggested for this shrug makes it very breathable, but it might be fun to make it out of silk or rayon as a dressy accessory.
