"I've been making baby blankets this way since the early '90's. In the early days of the internet, I bragged about it, now every yarn company on the planet seems to have a pattern to do it. For full size blankets, make multiple large squares and sew them together."

"How you carry the yarn has nothing to do with the completed size, the gauge determines that, it would appear that your gauge is way off. The gauge is 19 stitches for 4", the cast on is 47 stitches, so the piece should come out around 9.5" and yours is slightly more than half of that. There is a note near the beginning that instructs how to adjust gauge."

"I haven't made it because I cast on and by row 3 the pattern is over because there are not enough stitches to complete that row based on the instructions given, you need to have 8 stitches at that point and there are only 6 stitches. The pattern has to increase, but for every increase there is a decrease, therefore you can never have more than 6 stitches on the needle. I'm going to amend the pattern, since I like the look of the two colours and just do a yo increase until my desire length, then do the decrease for the second half to finish it."

"This pattern is about 15 years old, so it only stands to reason that some colours or yarns may have been discontinued in that time. Typically in knitting pattern acronyms are not included unless it is a new stitch or relatively new stitch pattern, some beginner patterns do include an explanation of the acronyms, but this is not a beginner pattern it is an easy pattern, so it would be uncommon for them to be included."

"Hi everyone! Mosaic pattern is one of my favorite patterns to knit, so you will see it included in many of my previous works. Since I’m into knitting skirts these days, I wanted to make one that features this pattern. My pick for the yarn this bulky gray and yellow yarn -which my daughter has picked for me a while back- and it was perfect to make the new skirt. The pattern is quite easy to knit once you know the simple mosaic rules; knit and slip stitches with each color every two rounds or knit and slip stitches one round then purl and slip stitches the other round. This skirt comes in four sizes, so check out the measurement details and pick the size that suits you. I also made a matching hat that goes perfectly with the skirt. I will be posting the instructions for it next week. I hope my new design is to your liking and can't wait to hear your feedback."
