Her Royal Highness Scarf

Who knew you were raising royalty? Keep baby dressed to the nines with the Her Royal Highness Scarf. This is one beautiful knit scarf pattern designed with baby in mind. Featuring just a simple ribbing from top to bottom, this knitted scarf is as great a starting point as any for knitters looking to learn how to knit a scarf. This stress-free pattern is also quite the quick knitting project. Using super bulky weight yarn with large needles, it won't be too long before this knitted scarf is off of your needles. The Her Royal Highness Scarf can also be customized to fit with baby's personality. Embellish your little princess' scarf with a couple of knitted or crocheted flowers to complete the look. Please note that the pictured flowers are crocheted.

the scarf by itself would be most attractive, the flowers without buttons and sewn on securely would be all right but would have to be securely sewn

I have concerns about having a scarf with buttons on it for a baby. The baby might pull them off and swallow them.

I agrre with you, I never make anything for babies or very small children with any kind of "extra" embellishments that could be pulled off or pose a choking hazard. When I make this, I will ismply drop the embellishment part and just make the scarf.
