Dark Chocolate Raspberry Slippers

By: Stacey Lynn from Me, My Purse & The Boys

After a long day, nothing feels better than pulling on a pair of thick socks and propping up your feet. The Dark Chocolate Raspberry Slippers are the perfect knit sock pattern for the job. These gorgeous slipper socks are a pretty shade of maroon with a contrasting brown rim. Knit a pair for someone you love or knit some for yourself. The Dark Chocolate Raspberry Slippers are best enjoyed with a cup of hot tea and a plate of cookies.

This is a nice variation on an old pattern that I have seen, but never made. I like the way she picked up and knitted ribbing along the ankle. You could make that as long as you wanted, to keep your legs warm. I will have to rry it now and see!

When I first saw these slippers, I thought they looked at lot like the first slippers I ever knitted when I was young. Turns out the designer did indeed base her slippers on that old classic pattern. I really liked them when I made them years ago, so I pinned this pattern so I can make them again.

These slippers look easy to make. Also I like the fact you can add some kind of trim at the top. I have some fantasy fur yarn that would look perfect.
