Sweet Scarlet Poncho
"Scarlet is a striking and easy poncho made in banana silk yarn. There is a small amount of shaping at the shoulders to help it lay nicely. Due to the weight of the banana silk, there is little to no blocking necessary, which is always a nice little bonus (the sample in the photos has NOT been blocked)! The weight of the yarn also causes the poncho to lay very nicely."

What a bright and colorful shawl. It is bound to turn some heads and get some attention. I bet some people will even ask when I got this from. This turned out a lot better than I had expected and the fit is nearly perfect. It was very easy to do and this was my first time working with a silk blend yarn.

I have not tried this pattern yet but the instructions looks fairly easy to follow. Fall is here and ponchos are always in order. The weather is not too cold yet you need something extra to put on. I have friends who love ponchos so they make great gifts as well. Thank you.

I was curious when I saw this pattern about the banana silk yarn. It looks pretty and has a lovely texture. I learned that it is hand spun from banana fibers so will vary in thickness and tightness. I like using recycled and repurposed fibers for knitting so I would like to try using this pattern.
