Yarn Weight(6) Super Bulky/Super Chunky (4-11 stitches for 4 inches)

Materials:

  • Rozetti Yarns Wicked Fur (90% nylon, 10% polyester; 125g/109 yds) 103 Grizzly (MC) – 4 (5, 5, 6, 7, 7) skeins
  • Universal Yarn Deluxe Chunky (100% wool, 100g/120 yds) 22299 Chocolate (CC) – 2 skeins, all sizes
  • US Size 10 (6 mm) 16” needles
  • 32” circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers
  • Waste yarn

 


Gauge: 14 sts x 18 rows = 4” in St st using either MC or CC

 


Measurements:

  • Sizes: Small (Medium, Large, 1X, 2X, 3X), Shown in Small Size
  • Finished Measurements:  Lower Circumference: 50½ (55¾, 61¼, 66½, 72, 77½)”, Length: 21½ (22, 23, 23½, 24½, 25)”

 


Instructions:


Cape
Collar
With CC and shorter circ ndl, cast on 88 sts (all sizes). Pm and join to work in the rnd, being careful not to twist sts.
Rnd 1: * K2, p2; rep from * to end. Rep this rnd until Collar meas 9” from cast-on edge.
Eyelet rnd: * K2tog, yo, p2, k2, p2; rep from * to end.
Next rnd: * K2, p2; rep from * to end. Rep this rnd until Collar meas 10” from cast-on edge.
Next rnd: Knit, increasing 2 sts evenly across rnd – 90 sts. Break CC, switch to MC.


Yoke
Set-up rnd: With MC, * K5, pm; rep from * to end.
Inc rnd: * Knit to one st before m, kfb; rep from * to end – 18 sts inc’d. Knit 6 (5, 5, 4, 4, 3) rnds. Rep last 7 (6, 6, 5, 5, 4) rnds, 4 (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) more times – 180 (198, 216, 234, 252, 270) sts. Cont to work even in St st until piece meas 19½ (20, 21, 21½, 22½, 23)" from beg of Yoke.
 

Separate Body and Sleeves
Next row: * K56 (62 (70, 76, 84, 90), place next 34 (37, 38, 41, 42, 45) sts on holder for sleeve; rep from * once more – 112 (124, 140, 152, 168, 180) sts rem for Body. Knit 3 rnds. Switch to CC. Work in k2, p2 ribbing for 2” Bind off all sts in patt.


Sleeves
Return sts to ndl.
Next rnd: Knit, inc’ing 2 (3, 2, 1, 2, 3) sts evenly across rnd – 36 (40, 40, 44, 44, 48) sts. With CC, work in k2, p2 ribbing for 2”. Bind off all sts in patt.


Finishing
Drawstring
Cut one 240” length of CC. Fold in half and secure to sturdy chair or table leg. Twist yarn until very twisty; allow it to twist back on itself. Drawstring measures about 60”. Weave in and out of Eyelet row from Collar. With CC, make 2 3” pom poms. Tie to ends of drawstring.
