Love this project !!

The yarn is a #6 super bulky and has been discontinued for years.

Some people don't want to wear a long scarf or big floppy cowl, some jackets just don't have room for that, so this neck warmer looks like a great alternative. The simple pattern could be done in almost any color and you could use all types of buttons on it. No two would look alike!

At first glance I thought of my husband and then my sons. Does anyone think this would be too girly?

I dont think it would be too girly. It looks pretty gender neutral to me. Choose colours you know they would enjoy. There are a lot of buttons that could make this more masculine looking. Alternatively, you could omit the buttons all together and either sew it together like a cowl, or add Velcro as a closure if you think the buttons are too much.

This button up neck warmer is perfect for travel. It will lie flat in a suitcase or fold easily in a coat pocket. When worn, it fits snugly and is tall enough to really keep the neck warm. It would make a good gift because you can whip up a few in no place at all. The buttons give you an opportunity to really personalize the warmer to fit the wearer. Nice pattern.

I do not live in really cold weather country, but I like the idea of this button up neck warmer. This idea allows you to be able to keep the cold out but not be so cumbersome at the same time. The design uses little yarn and looks like it works up really quick.

I really love this close fitting neck warmer. My work is quite physical and the looser infinity scarves, although great to wear when I'm not working, tend to get in my way when bending over, etc. And the addition of the large buttons finish off the simple design just beautifully. Cant wait to start knitting!

This is a really cute and practical pattern. I frequently work outside in the winter and am always looking for something to wear that is both cute and practical. I really think that this pattern hits the mark. I love the adorable buttons and will have to be looking for some like that on my next trip to the craft store. I think that this will be a lovely piece for a beginner to knit up. I'm a little bit more advanced, but still like a good and simple pattern to pass the time.

These i't's a beautiful and fairly easy pattern to work, i've done a couple of warmers using the pattern and people have love the result. For begginers its perfect to practice the tension of their knit, and the sticht but its also fun to knit sometihing that doesn't requeried a lot of concentration, just for relaxing in front of the Tv. I think this could also be fitted to be work as a one piece knit with circular needles, but i'm not sure how to modify the pattern, maybe some can tell me if they tried it.
