I love this pattern, I have a bunch of chunky yarn in my stash to kill and I will make them both at the same time by casting them on a circular needle, then I can use up the its and bits and have them match.

Brilliant idea. Knitting with four needles is such a trial. I have knit a couple of pair of mittens but neither pair turned out to be exact matches they had mismatched thumbs. This idea is bound to be easier to put together. To the pattern creator, I salute you. To the editor who chose to post it here, Kudos. I shall be sure to post a photo of my successful mittens

These are really unique. I've never tried knitting mittens before, because I've been intimidated. But I think i'll give this pattern a try!
