Easy Knitting Sweet Somethings

By: Julie Tarsha from ravelry.com
Easy Knitting Sweet Somethings

A squishy little garter stitch heart pattern that you can use in a number of ways. Are they tawashis? Why, yes they are! Coasters? Indeed! Mini washcloths? Most certainly! These Easy Knitting Sweet Somethings are just about anything you want them to be. Not many free knitting patterns can claim that much. They make excellent knit gifts for a baby shower or housewarming party, and they're cute as a button, to boot. Make them in whatever colors you want to suit your home or your personal tastes.

I love these little knitted hearts! They are made with the simple garter stitch. Using variegated kitchen cotton yarn really makes these hearts pop! I like these for kitchen washcloths or for the shower or bath. They would make great Valentine's Day gifts. Change up the needle size and make different size dishcloths or coasters.

These hearts would be great as sachets for my drawers, if I joined two together at the seams with a bit of potpourri in them. I can also see giving these out as Valentine's Day gifts or sold as a fundraiser or at crafts fairs. And they'd make great coasters, too. I like projects that you can customize and have lots of use for.

I love this pattern. This summer I have been crocheting flower coasters for friends and family, yet I am going to switch to these hearts for the next gifts. What a wonderful idea. Quick and easy and I can take them to work on wherever I go. Rating - Great Thank you.
