Love the border. The cable instead of ribbing is really cute. NOT crazy about the crown.

This pattern leads to a really creative hat - the cable instead of ribbing is highly attractive - gives a certain je ne sais quoi to the hat

I really like how the bottom of the hat has a cabled pattern instead of the usual ribbing. Using the thick wool makes the hat look warm for those chilly days. I will have save this patten to try after the holidays, as I have too many ufo's to finish right now.

I love making hats because they are so quick to work up, and I really like this pattern. I love the cable around the bottom and the way the top is finished looks very nice, much more top end than the ones that gather up all the stitches in a circle. I think this will become my go-to pattern!
